Mortgage Introducer has reported that 8 out of 10 people who have taken out equity release would prefer to remain in their home rather than downsizing, according to Standard Life and Age Partnership. The research also showed that 71% of people claimed the no negative equity guarantee, which is assured by Council members, influenced their decision to take out equity release.
