The Equity Release Council will be running a session for the first time at the Financial Services Expo in Scotland tomorrow, 4th of March at The Hilton Glasgow

The Equity Release Council will be running a session at the Financial Services Expo Glasgow event tomorrow, 4th of March at The Hilton. We are pleased to announce the speaker attending the event on our behalf will be Les Pick, National Sales Manager at The Right Equity Release where he will provide an overview of the market, insights on issues and advice on opportunities for advisers. The session will finish with an open discussion whereby an adviser with local knowledge will also give the Scottish market perspective.

The Council’s session is one of the CII CPD-accredited seminar programmes that will be running throughout the day including a keynote address from the Financial Conduct Authority, which will lead a session on the final issues from the implementation of MMR and what happens next as the industry prepares itself for the Mortgage Credit Directive.

For FSE it is also its launch in Scotland, as the only trade show for intermediaries in the region, after its successful events in 2013 and 2014 in Manchester and London. FSE Glasgow will join two existing shows to be held in Manchester and London in May and September respectively.

Over 400 financial advisers are expected to attend the event for invaluable face-to-face access to lenders, providers, and the regulator whilst providing networking and professional development opportunities in a post-Mortgage Market Review landscape. In addition, the event boasts a sold out exhibitor line-up featuring leading names from the financial services industry such as NatWest, Santander, Halifax and Virgin Money. The show is divided into zones covering Mortgages and Commercial, Specialist Lending, Protection and Retirement Planning, catering for a wide range of intermediaries looking to do business.

The event is free and advisers interested in attending can register at www.fseglasgow.com
