Hi, I’m Ian. I have been working in the financial services industry now for over 25 years and have been a specialised Equity Release adviser for almost 20 years now; during this time I have twice won the prestigious ‘Equity Release Adviser of the Year’ award at the British Mortgage Awards, of which I am very proud as this is chosen and judged by my peers and industry experts. In my time as an Equity Release specialist I have always been a member of the Equity Release Council to ensure that all my clients have the upmost safety and protection at all times.

As a self-employed adviser most of my customers are referred to me by my existing clients, and a network of introducers that I have worked closely with and built up over the years. I am enormously proud in particular to have several local Age Concern charities refer their customers over to me for Equity Release advice and they have been doing this since I started in this industry, so hopefully I am doing something right!

I live in a little village called Rainford in the North-West which I love, as it’s also not too far from my beloved Anfield where I have had a season ticket for over 30 years now. I am the proud dad to twin girls who have just started on their own journey off to university so with the spare time I now have on my hands I enjoy playing golf when I can, and I’m a (very!) amateur guitar player having picked one up for the first time in lockdown. I recently played songs by The Beatles at St Georges Hall in Liverpool along with 600 other guitarists which was genuinely one of the highlights of my life!
