We are very pleased to announce the recruitment of two individuals to the team at The Council.
Olivia Underwood – Admin and support assistant joined us on the 15th April
Olivia comes to us with many attributes to help the executive and wider team in the Council manage its plethora of meetings and engagements. Also experienced in event administration which she acquired in her time at the Ritz Hotel as an Events Planner, she will undoubtedly be an asset to the team. A natural organiser, she will oversee the running of the London HQ and help us to develop new systems and processes with our external service partners.
Chris Fay – Communications Manager will be joining us from 1st May
Chris is a former newspaper journalist and communications professional with over 15 years’ experience. He has a passion for consumer protection which developed during his time as the PR and communications manager for the Chartered Trading Standards Institute. In addition to editing the Institute’s publications and gaining significant media coverage in the mainstream media, the role saw him working closely with the Department of Business Energy and Industrial Strategy on business and consumer education. He brings a great deal of experience across both internal and external communications within representative organisations like ourselves such as the National Pharmacy Association and the Local Government Association. He will work with the Council and its partner agencies to bring about and drive all stakeholder communications in both proactive and reactive communications for a range of audiences across print and digital channels. Chris has lived in Essex for about five years but hails from Darlington, in the North East.
